Some days it’s just me, a camera, and a place I’ve never been. Other days there’s a crew, a call sheet, and fifty moving parts. I love both.
I’m Joseph Llanes, a photographer and director working across portraits, advertising, music, and film. I can build a production from the ground up or walk onto a set already in motion and get straight to work.
I’m drawn to interesting characters, ideas with a little nerve, and those unexpected moments that make an image feel alive. I believe in being prepared, trusting your instincts, and knowing when to get out of the way of something good.
I care about the work, but just as much about the people making it. Good energy on set goes a long way. So does knowing what you’re doing.
